The final weekend of the Women's EHF EURO 2014 has come to Budapest and our media team has been looking for these stories that make us smile.

After the EHF EURO, is before the next training session

When Norway faced Sweden in Friday's second semi-final Norway and Sweden, Helle Thomsen, the Swedish coach, was able to check the current form of one of her players in the Norwegian team. Her player? Yes, as Norway's Ida Alstad plays club handball for FC Midtjylland, the team that Thomsen coaches as well.

'Caught in the net' got to know that Alstad asked Thomsen for a bit of an extension to her Christmas break after the EHF EURO as she wanted to celebrate Christmas in Norway in her native town of Trondheim. However, Thomsen refused Alstad's wish and told her to be at training on 25 December -  and not a minute late.

What 'Caught in the net' can safely say though, that Thomsen's strict answer was not due to Sweden's 25:29 loss to Norway on Friday night - the story happened before the loss - but probably just because Thomsen wants her players in the best shape possible for the ongoing Danish club handball season.
