EHF EURO 2014 All-star team
Just hours before the Women's EHF EURO 2014 Final threw off, the European Handball Federation has announced the All-Star team of this championship. Three players of Norway made it to the list as Silje Solberg earned the best goalkeeper award, Heidi Loke claimed the best line player and Nora Mörk topped all right backs of the championship. Sweden's Isabelle Gullden has been named the Most Valuable Player.
When emotions run high
They are the people courtside; the people that sometimes seem to suffer the most when things wrong, but who, at the same time, have no hesitations at all to celebrate with no limits when things go right. This photo story is dedicated to the 17 coaches at the Women's EHF EURO 2014, as we asked our photographers, Uros Hocevar, Marius Ionescu, Henk Seppen and Stephane Pillaud, to focus just on them.
Danish tattoo time
If tattoos are being talked about in relation to the Danish women's national team, Kristina Kristiansen is the player that will come immediately to the mind of many. But as EHF Photographer Uros Hocevar learnt, the Danish players' tattoos not only have a special meaning for each individual but also create a bond between them.
Through a player's eyes
Macarena Aguilar is one of the most experienced players in the Spanish national team. She has played more than 180 matches, she has won Olympic bronze in 2012 and at the EHF EURO 2014 she is one of the key players to lead the squad to further glory. EHF Photographer Uros Hocevar together with Young Reporter Laia Coll had the rare chance to follow her for an entire day.
A quiet start to the championship
It was a very early start for the Polish women's national team when they arrived at the Women's EHF EURO 2014 on Saturday. A 7:15 hrs flight from Warsaw to Budapest forced them to get up around 5 o'clock in the morning. When they landed at Budapest airport, EHF Photographer Uros Hocevar saw tired yet determined players which he was then allowed to accompany all the way to Györ.
