Hi all your handball fans out there,

For those who don’t know me yet, I’m Foxette and I’m the mascot of the Women’s EHF EURO 2014 in Hungary and Croatia.

Last Saturday was a big day for me as I participated with 23,000 runners from 71 different countries in the Budapest marathon.

What a great event it was! It was fantastic to see so many people turning out for it.

In the morning I had go to the Heroes Square in Budapest where I waited for the start to happen. This already was quite exciting for me – I didn’t know how popular I’m already are and how many people already knew me.

I posed for selfies with as many people as possible and gave some presents to all the kids around.

The run itself was beautiful, but so exhausting! I was very happy, proud and also sooooo tired when I crossed the finish line – but all that was forgotten when swimming European champion Katinka Hosszú greeted me with a kiss at the finish.

And then there all the fans who hugged and high-fived me – so cool!

I hope I’ll see thousands of them also when the EHF EURO 2014 comes to Hungary and Croatia in December.

Very much looking forward to that!

See you soon! Foxette
